About the Event
Christine and Robert Galloway
The Galloways were luminaries in the Beacon Soccer Club for several decades and were inducted into its first Hall of Fame class in 2020.
Christine (1944-2019) was a longtime member of the Beacon Soccer Club, and the East Hudson Youth Soccer League (EHYSL) which she was the first woman inducted into EHYSL’s Hall of Fame.
Robert was co-founder of the Beacon Soccer Club in the ‘70s and coached multiple teams over the years while also holding several club leadership positions.
On May 25, 1968, the Galloways were married back in their native land of Scotland; the two had met earlier at a bar in Queens, and from there fell in love… and were happily married for 51 years.
