The New Way to Play: Players

With the new season on our horizon, Beacon Soccer Club is taking all the steps we can to ensure a safe playing environment for our Parents, Coaches, Referees, Players, and Volunteers. In that spirit, we are bringing you the most up to date information about the steps we all will be taking to create a safe space to get out and play, together.

Players - you are the game! While you're out there playing and learning the beautiful game - there is a team of Volunteer, including your Parents, Coaches, Referees, and others are at work to ensure player safety in these changing times. More is expected of us on a daily basis, and the same goes for playing soccer. Please take a read through the information below, and do your part to make sure we have a safe and successful season this year. The Club expects all our players to comply with the Guidelines sent down from U.S. Soccer and Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (our governing bodies).


Player Responsibilities

  • Take temperature daily.

  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after training.

  • Bring and use, hand sanitizer with you to every training.

  • Wear mask before and immediately after all training.

  • Do not touch or share anyone else’s equipment, water, snack or bag.

  • Practice social distancing, place bags and equipment at least 6 feet apart. ❖ Wash and sanitize all equipment before and after every training.

  • No group celebrations, no high 5’s, hugs, handshakes etc.
